WOUND CARE PROGRAM
Working under the direction of Bhaskar Nalam, MD, general and vacular surgeon, Christine Rodiguez, MPT, CWS, wound care specialist, will be coordinating the new WOUND CARE PROGRAM to treat chronic, non-healing wounds. Complex and chronic wounds require advanced dressings, treatments and therapies, and the expertise of specialized clinicians. Ms. Rodriguez meets with patients to capture a thorough medical history to determine the cause of the wound. Addressing ciculation issues is critical, as is education around the patient's role in treating the wound and preventing re-infection. Other considerations include patient nutrition, treatment of infection and pain management. Wound care patients are seen at the Yucca Valley office.
